Sep 19, 2011 hi all so I finally got win 7 installed, but i still get the odd crackle or dropout with traktor! My audio settings are running at 44100hz with 128m latency and 3m usb. My total latency is running below 10 and thats about the best I can get it to sound. I also run the djtt script and switch off wifi and im running the asio4all drivers. Is there anything else im missing? Any advice is. Sep 03, 2012 Haven't used Windows for a while, but am now. I was looking around on ways to improve audio latency in Traktor on Windows 7. I know there was a post on optimizing latency for Traktor ect, but that was a while ago. I found this post specific to Windows 7 and thought I'd share it with all yous. I like this post for being in depth, but also very easy to read and follow along.
I've been running Traktor Pro in Vista for a few weeks now and I've just upgraded to Windows 7 (hurrah). However, the audio quality is pretty poor, popping and clipping away. So I tried to change the latency, however for some reason I can't. So I'm stuck with the following settings: Audio Device: Audio 8 DJ Latency: 4ms. Mar 07, 2011 The way Traktor handles metering and the labels on its volume controls can lure you into making a real mess of your levels. When I first realised this on switching from CDJs and an analogue mixer to using Traktor and a sound card, it prompted me.

- Hello, I have a Nurmark mixtrack pro + virtual DJ. But I have alot of latency problems. I tried latency settings from auto to 256 (5ms) with and without safe mode. Also I switched from optimized for quality to latency. I use advanced stretching. But nothing seems to work.Any ideas?

Does it improve if you unplug the controller and test it with just mouse/keyboard?Well … going from auto to 5ms is going the wrong direction if latency is your problem. What you want to do is EXTEND the latency setting to a higher number of ms. Make a big jump higher and if it’s gone, then start babystepping back until it occurs again. You’ll have found the best setting your system can handle.I am not sure what you mean by stretching, but if it involves lots of processor-heavy audio manipulation, I can imagine you get problems. Since you don’t mention what kind of laptop/computer you are using not much I can say to that end of the equation. Finally, I do assume you have the latest updated (audio) drivers installed? On my windows 8.1 laptop, i run VDJ 8 at around 10ms latency through my Focusrite 2i4 with the ASIO drivers for it (at 24bit, 96KHz) – with VDJ set to:SAMPLE RATE: 96000
LATENCY: “Automatic (288)”
ultralatency off
overclock on
and all the quality settings on maxThese may not be the best settings for you, but they work for me.. 🙂And I can’t find “Advanced Stretching – or anything to do with stretching – anywhere??If on Windows:Check your USB drivers – make sure they are up to date, re-install the drivers for your soundcard (whilst it is plugged in) and then only use it on that one USB port – it does matter. And then reset the settings in VDJ.If you are on a Mac:Install any relevant Core Audio drivers (if applicable) and reset the settings in VDJ.If that doesn’t sort it, I don’t know…And which version of VDJ are on?? I’m on the latest update of 8 🙂i have a Denon MC3000 controller what version of virtual Dj it work with can you help?hi guys im having some problem in set up MC3000 with Traktor Pro i can only only listen to one channel on the Headphone what i am doing wrong?Don’t know too much about audio settings in VDJ, but is sure sounds like something is set wrong there.Howdy, Jonas – You will get a more positive response by creating your own topic rather than adding unrelated questions to an existing thread. Can't Adjust Latency Traktor Pro 1
After installing Traktor Pro 2 with the current Audio 8 DJ driver, I noticed quite a lot of little clicks / glitches. Same thing even when I switched back to Traktor Pro and both were on Eco mode since my 2 year old notebooks don't take the HIQ mode too well although they both ran Traktor Pro perfectly.
I then uninstalled the current driver and went back to the old one with the same settings as before. Weird. Same thing. Clicks here and there so it's definitely something to do with the drivers' (both old and new) settings since I can hear clicks even when using Windows Media Player with audio out through the Audio 8 DJ.
Has the Traktor Pro 2 installation corrupted something along the line because even when I use Traktor Pro with the older Audio 8 DJ driver, I still get the clicks in quite a few combinations. Only disappear when I go up to 10 + ms latency.
In the old Traktor Pro, it said 5.5ms but in the new one, I'm shown to be at 11.3ms with Processing taking 6ms and Output 5.3ms. Am I wrong to say that the older Traktor Pro was showing only the Output latency instead of including the processing delay as well which means that the 5.5ms reported in the old Traktor Pro is the same as 11.3 total latency reported in Traktor Pro 2?
ps. Sorry for being long winded.
